The two-year OneBeat program was funded by a $1.25 million federal grant to bring musicians from around the world for a residency and tour program in the U.S. The project’s co-director Elena Moon said the program was “about innovation and using music as a tool to reach other communities.”
The spirited line-up of performers, ranged from ages 19 to 34 were recruited through email and social media sites such as Facebook and others.
