Emma teaches Beginning Cello, assists with Intermediate/Advanced Cello classes, and has taught Mozart classes with Kidznotes. She grew up playing cello duets with her older sister and taking lessons at the Suzuki Preucil School in Iowa City, IA. A few years later, she studied cello performance at UNC Chapel Hill and graduate school at UMass Amherst, and took Suzuki teacher training courses with Dr. Tanya Carey. Emma worked as a camp director and board member at Girls Rock NC for the past six years, and currently teaches cello lessons in Chapel Hill, Durham, and Carrboro and runs the strings program at Central Park School for Children in Durham. Her favorite part about making music is collaborating with other people and coming up with new songs!
